Chicot Nature Trail (aka Lake Chicot Trail) is a moderately trafficked loop trail located near Ville Platte, Louisiana that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Chicot State Park is located near Ville Platte, Louisiana. This wildlife reserve of South Central Louisiana features 6,400 acres of rolling hills surrounding a 2,000-acre man-made lake stocked with bass, crappie, bluegill, and red-ear sunfish.
