Location: Located on the west end of Grapevine Lake, off Of State Highway 377, At west end of Grapevine Lake on State Route 377 and south on FM 1171.
From I-35W turn east on FM 1171. At the intersection with Hwy 377, turn south onto the highway. The trailhead is on the left, approximately 1/2 mile south, just off the highway. Note: Drivers should use great caution when entering and exiting to or from the highway on this steep trailhead.
Located on the west end of Grapevine Lake, this natural surface trail traverses the prairies and bottomland on the north bank of Denton Creek. The trail is less rocky than the Northshore, but watch out for cactus and the occasional stray cow! Also, from Dunham Road over the White's Branch bridge is shared trail with equestrians. All bicycles and pedestrians yield to horses. There are no facilities on this trail.

Chutes and ladders
Hiking/Biking trail. Nice hike, plenty of inclines. All of the bikers we passed were very courteous. Saw a wild pig.
